Brett has been with Gympie Veterinary services in the role of practice manager since early 2006. Prior to Gympie Veterinary Services, Brett held various managerial positions in hospitalty. Positions included being Publican of the Ettamogah Pub on the Sunshine Coast, being a restaurant Manager for a number of LoneStar Steakhouses and also managing a Fine Dining restaurant in Portsea Victoria. Brett spends most of his time away from work either with his family or training for marathons. In 2015 Brett was lucky enough to take part in the oldest marathon in the world, The Boston Marathon.
Leanne is a head nurse at Gympie Veterinary Services. She has been with us since 2006 at the clinic. Prior to joining us Leanne worked as a cattle yard worker and in the standards team at Nolan Meats. Leanne enjoys the challenges each day brings as a team member at Gympie Veterinary Services. She thrives on the opportunity to constantly learn more daily from different cases being presented and loves seeing the animals go home well again.
Outside of work Leanne enjoys taking to the field in a game of touch football.
Emma Ison is the Reception Manager for our clinic. She has been employed with Gympie Veterinary Services since 2009, with previous experience before joining us in a local pest control agency for 4 years.
Coordinating and presenting a Petpep program for our local schools, Emma helps to educate the children about pets and how to best care for them. Emma states that having daily challenges in the clinic and knowing that everyday is different, keeps her interest in her position high. Having the opportunity to constantly learn new things to expand her knowledge of animal care also brings job satisfaction.
When not in the office, Emma enjoys getting out in the fresh air boating, fishing, camping and also 'trick training' with her dog Ace.
After many years working on dairy farms, Carol has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to Gympie Veterinary Services. On most days, Carol co-ordinates our Large animal call-outs.
Hi my name is Nina Murphy I am a qualified Vet Nurse and have been nursing for eighteen years and employed with Gympie vets for the past four years, I love working with animals and love the trust they have in you. I live on a local dairy farm and have a large array of family pets but my love is with my three horses any spare time i get I'm in the saddle with friends and family.
Jenny is one of our wonderful vet nurses at the Gympie Veterinary Clinic and has been employed with us since 2007. Prior to joining our team, Jenny worked as a vet nurse in Mandurah WA for 7 years as well as in Northern Territory for 7 years as well. First working in the veterinary industry in 1994, Jenny has always had a love of animals and knew her passion was with veterinary nursing. Her role as a nurse brings new challenges each day which Jenny finds very rewarding.
Jenny is also the clinics fully qualified pet stylist. Being trained to a high standard with knowledge to lift the industry to a higher more professional level.
Running monthly dog obedience classes Jenny helps to educate owners on training techniques and aspects of achieving the desired behaviour.
Outside of work Jenny enjoys horse riding, spending quality time with family and their animals as well as gardening.
Hi I'm Dianna, I have been working at Gympie Vet Services for 2 years and also undergoing my cert 4 in vet nursing through the Australian College of Vet Nursing. I love every aspect of my job so much so that more then once work has followed me home on several occasions. I have an array of animals, but my passion lies with horses who with, in my free time I compete in Eventing.
Sandra or as most people call her Sandy, is our friendly receptionist at our Tin Can Bay Clinic. Sandy has been with Gympie Veterinary Services since 2003. During this time Sandy completed 2 1/2 years of Cert IV Vet Nursing study. Sandy loves her job mostly because of her love for animals and meeting some very nice animal people. Outside of work Sandy enjoys being around family and friends fishing, gardening, reading watching good movies and good food.
Sandy believes animals are the best and make her world go around.
Debbie has been part of the Gympie Veterinary Services team since 1999. Debbie originally worked at our Tin Can Bay clinic, before moving to Gympie and has now returned to Tin Can Bay

Michelle Gadd DipBus(Frontline Management) DipBus(Local Government Administration) Cert IV Project Management, Cert IV Training & Assessment.
Michelle is one of our reception staff in the clinic. Previously employed with Local Government and State Government, Michelle brings with her a background in business which spans over 20 years. Starting with Gympie Vet Services late in 2015 Michelle states working in such a dynamic workplace with multiple daily challenges keeps interest in the position high and the added bonus of LOTS of animal cuddles doesn't go astray for the self declared crazy dog lady. When not assisting our clients at work Michelle enjoys hanging out with her 3 dogs, redesigning and landscaping her garden and chipping away at home improvements.
Peggy has been employed with Gympie Veterinary Services since September 2010 after working as a hairdresser. Peggy enjoys helping people care for their pets in the best way possible and sharing knowledge to help them best look after their fur babies. Outside of work Peggy enjoys going to the beach with her family and her pooch Sammy.
Emily is currently studying a Certificate III in Animal Studies and hopes to continue.................
Starting with Gympie Veterinary Services in 2015 Emily states that she enjoys the work and experience she has gained in the clinic so far. Emily has previous work experience in food and customer service from working at a busy Cafe. On her days off Emily's favourite activity is getting away camping.
Barb has been employed with Gympie Veterinary Services since 2007 as a Vet nurse. Furthering her education in the animal care industry Barb has also completed Accreditation in Veterinary Nursing short courses on Anesthesia, Pathology, Animal Behaviour, Weight Loss Co-Ordination and has attended various conferences and seminars relating to her work. Barb has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of patients and giving a top quality of care. She states that they all take a piece of her heart.
Prior to working in our practice Barb has worked in Beauty Therapy, as a sales assistant in a jewellery store and administration officer in Local Government.
When not working caring for the animals in our clinic, Barb enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and going to Bronco's matches. Music is important to her especially listening to Keith Urban
